We seek compassionate individuals aged 55 and older who take pleasure in visiting homebound seniors for light activities such as conversation, watching their favorite TV show, sitting on the porch, or sharing a meal for a few hours a few days each week. The aim is to provide primary caregivers with time for self-care. Volunteers are required to pass a Level II background check and complete pre-service training prior to being matched with a senior.

Ongoing opportunities do not have an end date and are readily available with few time constraints. They are often skills-based and are perfect for individual development. Additionally, these opportunities allow volunteers to assist with a crucial need in the community, help to build capacity for agencies, and enable the volunteer to build a relationship with the recipient organization.
Please note that while most of these opportunities give the volunteer the flexibility to work from home, a few may require the volunteer to be present on site. Also, as some needs require training, a commitment of at least 6 months may be requested.
