In an effort to serve the community and limit the spread of COVID-19, the SisterHermana Foundation is hosting another Drive-Thru Only Farm Share food distribution event to benefit the Jacksonville community.
It's an outdoor event. Masks and gloves will be provided. Volunteer responsibilities will be assigned onsite.
Volunteer opportunities include:
SHIFT ONE - 7:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
PRE-EVENT SET-UP TASKS
- Set up cones for flow of traffic pattern
- Set up tables for or perishables, non-perishables food items and possibly toiletries
- Set up tents
- Set up, wipe down, and cover tables with disposable table cloths
- Put out directional signs, i.e sign in here, line up here, etc.
- Sort, stock, and pack donated food items, both perishables and non-perishables
SHIFT TWO - 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
EVENT TASKS
- Collect information from participants
- Direct traffic
- Distribute food and goods
- Remove any trash breakdown empty boxes
- Stand/sit at entrance and count cars
- Offer participants an opportunity to complete census while they wait in their cars.
SHIFT THREE - 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
POST-EVENT TASKS
- Clean-up area
- Wipe down tables
- Pack-up and go home
