Position Overview
JaxCareConnect is seeking passionate volunteers to support our access to healthcare initiative in the OutEast neighborhood. Volunteers will play a vital role in connecting residents directly to essential and free healthcare services and resources by distributing informational materials to households. This initiative is a core component of our mission to ensure every neighbor has access to comprehensive healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy community engagement, teamwork, and making a positive local impact.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Attend volunteer check-in and orientation at 8:30 AM
- Walk assigned neighborhood routes with a team
- Distribute doorhangers to homes in the OutEast community
- Represent JaxCareConnect in a respectful and professional manner
- Help create awareness of available services and resources
Qualifications
- Friendly and dependable
- Comfortable walking outdoors for up to 2 hours
- Passion for community outreach and engagement
