1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer representing 15.2% of all new cancer cases in the United States.
According to the Florida Health Department Data(2014-2016) in Duval County, the Age-adjusted death rate by breast cancer 21.6% per 100,000 people higher than the state itself at 19.8% per 100,000.
In an effort to decrease these numbers the SisterHermana Foundation will be deploying from five locations to be announced in September survivors, volunteers, medical professionals and those sensitive to the crisis of breast cancer who will organize and mobile to take it to the streets (T.I.T.T.S) to personally place two Buddy Check 12 Kits into the hands of women all over the City of Jacksonville.
