Help Feed Families through Full Service Schools
Across the country, families are facing uncertainty around Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits — and Northeast Florida is no exception. According to the latest ALICE report, nearly 40% of local households already struggle to make ends meet, and in Duval County alone, 12.7% experience food insecurity every day. As critical food assistance remains unsettled, even more families could struggle to feed themselves and their families in the weeks ahead.
You can help by donating non-perishable food items to one of our Full Service Schools (FSS) sites. Each site already serves as a food pantry for Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) students and their families, and during this crisis, each is temporarily expanding its role as a collection hub for neighborhood food pantries operated by local nonprofits and churches. Donations will be distributed where they’re needed most within the zip codes each site serves—supporting both school families and the wider community
