Stuff the Bus
Thousands of students every year
start school without essential supplies for academic success. Moreover,
teachers spend hundreds of dollars out of their pockets annually to properly stock their classrooms.
Now through July 12, United Way of Northeast Florida and First Coast News are joining
forces to once again Stuff the Bus in Duval County, our annual initiative
supporting classrooms, teachers and students in need. By donating as
an individual or organizing a school supply drive with Stuff the Bus, you or
your collection team have the incredible opportunity to address this issue
head-on and transform the lives of Jacksonville's students.
Donations will benefit United
Way’s Full Service Schools initiative and will help hundreds of
teachers and more than 57,000 students in over 80 Duval County public schools!
Ways
to Get Involved:
Group
Fundraisers and Supply Drives
Company teams, friends, family
members, worship groups, book clubs, sports teams, etc. (you get the idea!) are
invited to register as a team to support Stuff the Bus in Duval County. Option
1: Register your group below to collect physical school supplies, and
we will send helpful information, tips, and promotional graphics to use for a
successful drive and team-building experience. Option 2: You
can host a virtual fundraiser by encouraging your group to give monetary
donations. Instructions will be provided upon sign-up below.

Make
an Individual Monetary Donation
If you can't participate in
person, consider a monetary donation in lieu of donating physical items. We
will ensure your dollars are used cost-effectively in the purchase of these
much-needed school supplies. To donate now, text “classrooms24” to 30306,
or visit our donation webpage by clicking below. This link will be open for
donations until August 30.

Supply
Info and Drop-Off Day Details
If you are donating physical items,
you can find a list of the most needed supplies for the classroom or for students
at the link below. Then, on July 12, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can drop off your collected new school supplies at the bus located at The Markets
at Town Center (in the parking lot near Sprouts). Pack your donations in your
trunk, pop your trunk upon arrival, and we'll do the rest!

Volunteer
We need your help to stuff and
un-stuff the bus and get the supplies organized for delivery to the sites! If
you or your team would like to lend a hand, please visit the link below to
learn about ways to volunteer.
No matter how you choose to get involved, remember to snap a
selfie for social media and be sure to tag @unitedwaynefl, @FCN2go and
