Families in the Historic Eastside are in need of your help!  Due to flooding and losing furniture during the process of moving, we are looking for donations of beds and other general furniture to help their apartments feel like home again. 

The main focus is finding beds and mattresses for children and teens, as well as adults.  Providing children and teens with comfortable, supportive beds isn't just about ensuring a good night's sleep—it's about investing in their success. Quality sleep is the cornerstone of physical health, mental well-being, and academic achievement. By offering them a cozy retreat to recharge each night, we empower them to wake up refreshed, ready to conquer the day, and equipped to thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Specifically, we are needing donations of:

• Beds, mattresses, and furniture for a single parent and 3 small children
• Beds, mattresses, and furniture for a single parent and 2 teen children
• Beds, mattresses, and furniture for a single parent with 3 teen children

For those seeking community service hours, we will award 3 hours per mattress, bedframe, and other important furniture, plus one hour for delivery.  Contact volunteer@unitedwaynefl.org for more information on hours for this need.
