At Travel Unity, the Youth Programs Marketing Manager is responsible for quality and delivery of all Youth & Collegiate Programs Marketing & Communication activities, leading a team.
Primary responsibilities will be to create, implement and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively describe and promote the organization. This role provides supervision and direction to staff and often works in conjunction with the other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Communications, including Marketing and basic PR
- Newsletter & membership engagement
- Creation and posting of tagged social media posts
- Audit and edit copy on Travel Unity website
- Event collateral
- Lead development, implementation, and execution of a strategic marketing plan
- Work with People Operations Department to vet and onboard new team members in the Marketing Team
- Work with Travel Unity Team, Speakers, Alliance members, Youth Program participants, etc. to tell their stories through different platforms (standard marketing, annual report, possible webinars)
- Plan, create, and send monthly newsletter via Mailchimp
- Plan, create, and send email blasts via Mailchimp every two weeks
- Plan, create, and send quarterly Digital Magazine
- Lead weekly marketing meetings
- Ensure latest content reflects on website
- Ensure latest content reflects on social media platforms
Skills Required:
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
- Experience using WordPress
- Experience using MailChimp
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Google Drive or related software
- Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently
