On the morning of December 9, the children of 5 local elementary schools will arrive to a magical surprise. Their school will be decorated with gold tinsel and upon arrival to their classrooms, they will find a new backpack filled with books and toys! Volunteers will then visit classrooms and read our story of St. Nick to children and share messages of kindness and anonymous giving. This is such a special moment for all parties; volunteers, students, and teachers.
Volunteers will arrive ad check-in at a predetermined meeting area at the school.. Your school’s Project Leader will then instruct volunteers on classroom assignments. Depending on the number of volunteers, you may be asked to read to more than one classroom. Please dress appropriately for school, but we invite you to dress as festively as you wish!
