United Way Worldwide's annual Day of Action is an invitation for people and organizations across the globe to take action to address a variety of challenges in their local communities.
United Way is focused on eliminating deep disparities and systemic inequities limiting advancement and prosperity within our communities of color. That's why our second-annual OutEast efforts on Day of Action aim to help a neighborhood reach its full potential after years of neglect.
Volunteers will provide hands to clean, make light repairs to and paint exterior areas of the historic former office of Dr. Charles McIntosh, Jacksonville's first Black pediatrician.
Individuals, groups and corporate teams are invited to sign up to lend a hand this Day of Action. Virtual projects are also available to support Eastside residents--sign up for DIY projects from the comfort of their home or office. Several OutEast remote projects can be found here.
