This MLK Day, Women United members and their friends and family are exclusively invited to join United Way of Northeast Florida, the North Riverside Community Development Corporation , and the Center for SustainableAgriculture Excellence and Conservation (CSAEC) as we bring fresh food directly to residents of historic North Riverside, a neighborhood of longtime families and many seniors.
These community partners well reflect Dr. King’s belief in strengthening community and ensuring every neighbor has access to opportunity and support. North Riverside CDC works to preserve and strengthen this important community through housing rehab, neighborhood advocacy, and support for residents. CSAEC expands access to fresh, locally grown food in underserved areas and partners with communities to reduce food insecurity.
Across Northeast Florida, more seniors and working families are struggling to access consistent, nutritious food — making this distribution especially important.
Women United
volunteers will work alongside our partners to unload, sort, and distribute
food to North Riverside residents and seniors, helping ensure neighbors have
reliable nourishment.
Please note: Exact times for the food distribution may change according to the staggered food delivery schedule of multiple sites. We will confirm by the end of December.
