Be a part of a transformative day of service Out East!

This MLK Day of Service, join the resident-led Historic Eastside CDC and Jax Melanin Market as they revitalize Jacksonville's important and storied Eastside! These organizations are pivotal forces in Jacksonville's historic neighborhood, playing a crucial role in enhancing the lives of its residents. United Way of Northeast Florida proudly partners with these organizations, recognizing their unwavering dedication to fostering economic mobility and equity for Eastside residents.

The Historic Eastside CDC (HECDC) drives neighborhood revitalization through affordable housing, social services, cultural development, education, wealth building, and safety. With a vision of restoring A. Philip Randolph Blvd. (formerly Florida Ave.) to the thriving Black business corridor it once was, they invite volunteers to help plant trees and complete other improvements to continue the beautification efforts started during the 2024 MLK Day of Service with Jax Melanin Market. Together, we can attract more customers, support local businesses, and foster a vibrant, flourishing community
