In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the SisterHermana Foundation is asking the community to "Share the Love" by donating gift cards, non-perishable food items, bread, fruits, and vegetables to fill the pantries of families impacted by cancer. The event will be held on February 11, 2023, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Volunteers who we are asking to wear red and white are needed to receive and sort donations, wrap boxes, and prepare them for Valentine's Day deliveries. Also, donations of tape, scissors, red and white wrapping paper, and boxes are needed.
As a DIY project, showing love to those in the community impacted by cancer is the perfect event for work teams, ministries, or social groups to kick off your year of giving by collecting items requested and delivering them to us on the day of the event. Should you choose to participate, please take photos of your efforts and text them to me at the number below so I can share your good deeds on our social media platforms.
Patients are vetted via MD Anderson Cancer Center and UFHeaalth Oncology Departments. Will you be their Valentines? The amount of families we can serve depends on you.
