In an effort to serve the community and limit the spread of COVID-19, the partnership of SisterHermana Foundation and Greater Love Development Christian Center, is hosting a Farm Share Food Distribution for our neighbors on Jacksonville's Westside. Our number one priority is the health and safety of all members of our community and our volunteers. . Therefore, the Farm Share Nutritious Food Distribution event scheduled for March 26, 2020 will be a DRIVE THRU ONLY EVENT!
- No walk-ups , food will be passed out via a drive thru method, People must stay in their cars.
- We are encouraging people to ride share with family members and friends
- We encourage neighbors and family members to assist the elderly; to make sure they have transportation to this event.
- There will be a tent set up away from the drive to take the names of anyone who walks up. We will deliver them a bag pending something is left over from those who followed instructions.
Volunteers are needed to sort, stock and pack donated food items, both perishables and non-perishables.
SHIFT ONE - 7:30
PRE-EVENT SET-UP TASK
- Set up cones for flow of traffic pattern
- Set up tents for perishables, non-perishables and possibly toiletries
- Set up, wipe down, and cover tables with disposable table cloths
- Put out directional signs, i.e sign in here, line up here, etc.
Event Task
- Collect information from participants
- Direct traffic
- Distribute food and goods
- Remove any trash breakdown empty boxes
- Stand/sit at entrance and count cars
Post Event
- Clean-up area
- Wipe down tables
- Pack-up and go home
