Who We Are

Do you know what happens to the billions of pounds of GOOD food that does not get bought in stores every year? Typically it becomes an environmental issue when it could become an answer to hunger. Epic-Cure Inc. was founded in 2018 in response to the staggering amount of food waste in our country. Partnering with Feeding America our mission is to rescue good food that would otherwise be thrown away and distribute it to good people in need in our community. This approach shows that environmental and social wellbeing can go hand in hand. With your help, we can aide the 1 in 5 people in our community suffering from hunger.

What We Do

We rescue food from grocery stores and distributors based on use by/sell by dates, dented packaging and/or merchandise not selling and distribute it to people in need in our community. History: May 2,100 pounds distributed to 57 families (93 individuals, 6 seniors, 46 children, 11 individuals with disabilities, 4 active military/veterans) June 20,000 pounds distributed to 201 families (710 individuals, 121 seniors, 290 children, 84 individuals with disabilities, 21 active military/veterans) July 20,500 pounds distributed to 445 families (1599 individuals, 260 seniors, 615 children, 211 individuals with disabilities, 75 active military/veterans) August (projection 30,000 pounds) 20,000 pounds distributed as of 8/25 to 636 families (2286 individuals, 384 seniors, 1040 children, 246 individuals with disabilities, 125 active military/veterans) September projection: 50,000 pounds. Our vision is to continue to expand our sourcing so we can meet the great demand in St. Johns County. We will also be expanding food distribution into Putnam County in September and beginning our cooking program teaching middle-school-age children how to prepare meals they will take home to feed their families.
