Making Strides For Autism, Inc. (MS4A) was founded in March 2016. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a social enterprise business model.
Our Mission: Our priority is to provide support, training, and advocacy to families and people with autism spectrum disorder; creating a more autism-friendly community.
Our Vision: One day, Northeast Florida will be the most autism-friendly region to live in Florida.

What We Do
At Making Strides For Autism, Inc., our goal is to create a community that is more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for individuals with autism and their families. We strive to lessen the emotional and financial impact of autism on families and people living in Northeast Florida with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). We are dedicated to providing support, training, and advocacy to those we serve; creating a community that is more inclusive, accessible, and compassionate to people on the autism spectrum, and to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on families and society.
Programs and Services:
- Friends With Autism Initiative: Partners with the community to increase inclusion and accessibility for families and people with autism. We help to create more autism-friendly business locations.
- Mobile Sensory Room & Loaner Sensory Bags: We offer our Mobile Sensory Room rental for businesses, agencies, nonprofit, and government entities to make their community and private events more inclusive and accessible to autism families. As well as loaner Sensory Bags and those with sensory challenges.
- Online Resources: Friends With Autism Magazine, Community Calendar, and Resource Directory.
- Advocacy/Community Special Events: We host periodic and annual events that promote awareness, acceptance, understanding, and support for the autism community.
- Family/Community Support: Annually we provide; grants to autism families to help various medically necessary and quality of life needs, school supplies to students, sensory bags to families and school classrooms, and various giveaways throughout the year and holiday season to families.
