Who We Are

Founded in 2014, the SisterHermana Foundation, Inc. is a grassroots social impact organization born from both survival and sacrifice. After founder and breast cancer survivor Veronica Glover lost her husband, Horace, to colon cancer, she vowed to fight the disease—not in labs, but within communities. Today, we walk alongside cancer warriors and their families with practical, culturally sensitive, and family-centered support, helping bridge gaps in access to food, utilities, transportation, scholarships, and more. More than a program, we are a movement of compassion and action, building a network of hope, help, and healing for families facing cancer.

What We Do

At the SisterHermana Foundation, we recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects far more than health. It impacts every part of life. Our goal is to provide compassionate, personalized support to individuals and families as they navigate life during and after treatment. We focus on the human side of cancer care, addressing needs that often fall outside traditional medical assistance. From helping families access groceries and housing support to ensuring children can participate in milestone moments like graduation. Our work is guided by empathy and dignity. With 87% of our clients being parents of children under 18, we tailor our assistance to meet each family’s unique situation. Whether through emotional encouragement, essential resources, or community connections, we’re here to lighten the load and restore hope for those walking this journey.
