United Way Funded-Partner Projects
We’ve worked with our partners in youth success, financial stability, health and basic needs to preschedule a variety of projects to meet a range of group sizes and interests. It’s easier than ever for your team to get involved. Learn more>>
Community-wide Projects
We also believe it’s important to provide access for nonprofits to recruit volunteers and to help individuals connect to community efforts. Check out the community-wide project calendar for additional opportunities across Northeast Florida. Learn more>>
Custom Projects
If a prescheduled volunteer project doesn’t meet your team’s needs, United Way can create a new project to make a difference at an agency partner’s location. All customized projects will require a budget to cover the cost of materials and staffing as determined by project type and group size. If you are interested in a custom project, please contact Erica La Spada here.
Projects-in-a-box
Host a volunteer event at your office, community facility or home. United Way will provide and coordinate all the materials and will provide a staff member for set up, break down, and to lead the event. Learn more>>
Drives
Holding a donation drive can be a creative and collaborative team-building exercise. United Way has a variety of drive suggestions that will fill an important need in the community. Learn more>>
Poverty Simulation: Meet ALICE
Our custom project list has other unique experiences. United Way will facilitate a “Meet ALICE” poverty simulation exercise for your employees. A popular choice, the two to three-hour exercise is a great way to learn more about hard-working families who struggle every day. The simulation offers participants a realistic approach to walking in an ALICE family’s shoes by simulating one month of poverty. Following the exercise, participants will share feedback about their experience during a debriefing session. Learn more>>
