Who We Are
Cathedral Arts Project's mission is to empower every child's creative spirit, elevate arts educators in their field and advocate for access and equity in arts education. CAP's vision is for Northeast Florida to lead the nation in providing essential and accessible arts education that recognizes, grows and amplifies every child's unique skills and strengths. The Cathedral Arts Project is a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of arts education and therapeutic programs for children and young adults in Northeast Florida. CAP was launched in 1993 by a small group of individuals from St. John’s Cathedral. What began as one dance class for ten students has now reached more than 40,000 children and young adults in Northeast Florida and beyond. CAP instructs, instills and inspires through a variety of arts education programs, including afterschool, school day and summer courses, cultural experiences, advocacy, community partnerships and professional development.
