Volunteer: Volunteer at The Hope at Hand Poetry Center!

Join us at the Hope at Hand Poetry Center, where poetry and healing come together. We're looking for thoughtful, detail-oriented volunteers to help with behind-the-scenes prep that makes our workshops possible. Your work directly supports youth and adults in schools, shelters, detention centers, and more across Northeast Florida. 

Volunteer Tasks Include: Preparing materials for poetry workshops (cutting, organizing, assembling packets) and assembling handmade cards for our monthly outreach mailings. Here are some examples!

Volunteer: Cut + Collage: Help Bring Our Dada Lesson to Life!

We're looking for creative volunteers to help us prep for one of our favorite lessons—Dada Collage Poetry! This project is perfect for anyone who loves flipping through magazines and making a little mess for a good cause.

   

What we need: Cut out eyes, ears, noses, and lips from magazines (at least 1.5 inches each or about the size of a quarter). Please separate by gender and label clearly.

Want to earn volunteer hours? ✔️ Yes, you can! You'll receive 1 volunteer hour for every 25 facial features you cut and send in, up to 4 hours total.

Love being outdoors and getting your hands in the dirt? We’re looking for volunteers to help keep the grounds at the Hope at Hand Poetry Center welcoming and beautiful for everyone who visits. Tasks include light weeding, trimming, and garden beautification — no mowing required! This is a great opportunity for individuals or small groups who enjoy physical activity, fresh air, and making a visible impact.


What You’ll Do
