Help distribute food and condiments

Ensure the line moves as smoothly as possible/help direct to the beverage area

 Ensuring trash bins are regularly emptied.

 Direct vendors/attendees to the trash area

Guide attendees to and from different performance stages and activity areas.

Supervise children’s activities, such as arts and crafts, games and the bounce house area

Assist with Waivers & Armband placement as needed in Check-In Area

Direct Vehicles to designated parking lot areas

Assist in the efficient use of the parking lot

Communicate via walkie-talkie to others as needed

Manage Traffic Flow

Provide assistance and guidance to vendors/ attendees as needed

Assist with setting up MCG/Sponsor tents, tables, and chairs.

Set up signage, banners, and information booths.

Manage the breakdown and clean-up process once the event concludes.

Engage with Guests & Vendors to take the event survey

Communicate via walkie-talkie to others as needed

The Parade Participant Assistant & Escort plays a key role in ensuring a safe, organized, and enjoyable parade experience for all participants. This volunteer serves as a direct point of contact for assigned parade groups, providing guidance, support, and coordination throughout staging, lineup, and the duration of the parade route.

The Black History Parade Lead Guide / Captain serves as a primary on-site leader responsible for overseeing assigned parade sections and ensuring smooth coordination, safety, and timing throughout the event. This role supports parade participants, volunteers, and event organizers while upholding the integrity and spirit of the celebration.

The Route Guide plays a vital role in maintaining organization, safety, and directional support along the parade route. This volunteer ensures participants stay on course, the parade flows smoothly, and spectators remain safely positioned throughout the event.

The End-of-Route / Dismissal Guide plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth, safe, and organized conclusion to the parade. This volunteer assists with participant exit flow, directs groups to designated dismissal areas, and helps prevent congestion at the end of the route.

With your generosity, we can provide nutritious meals to those who are struggling to make ends meet.  Your donations will go directly to those in need, helping to provide essential food & personal items to families, seniors, and individuals who are facing difficult times.

Event Prep: Assembling materials, logistics set-up  

Event Support: Assist with Workshops & Networking Events                               

Data entry & Management: Updating databases, spreadsheets, CRM tools

Supply management: Inventory checks, restocking

Vendor Support: Assist  Business Owner with Admin & Event Tasks as needed
