Join us this MLK Day of Service as we support a longtime Eastside leader and respected senior in the community who has spent years serving his neighbors through weekly community feedings and essential-needs support as leader of his church. His commitment reflects the same values Dr. King championed — compassion, service, and strengthening community from within.
As his personal home also serves as the storage and staging space for this work, from food items to paper goods to the basic necessities he gives to the community, we want to help him continue this important work by:
- Organizing items into labeled bins
- Assembling and installing shelving to improve safety and access
- Clean and refresh living and storage spaces
- Prepare and refresh a vegetable garden
- Pressure wash the driveway
- Assist with light home-improvement tasks
This project is about uplifting someone who continually uplifts others. By creating a safer, more functional space, we’re helping sustain the work that feeds and supports Eastside families every week.
