You can help save a life by starting right outside your front door.This October, you can make a difference without leaving your neighborhood.Walk your street, knock on doors, and share lifesaving cancer awareness information with neighbors you know and trust.This is the mission of Knocking for Knockers: Putting Pink in Every Neighborhood.On Saturday, October 3, 2026, volunteers across Jacksonville will work together to ensure every neighbor has access to potentially lifesaving information.Each home will receive two free information packets: one for the household and one to share. Distributing the second packet helps build a community effort to spread lifesaving information throughout Jacksonville.Each household will receive:✔ Information on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer (Buddy 12 Kits), breast cancer in men, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and ovarian cancer✔ A listing of free and low-cost cancer screening resources✔ Information on where uninsured and underinsured residents can access healthcare servicesNo medical background is required to participate.You only need a commitment to your community and a willingness to help ensure your neighbors have access to information that can lead to earlier detection, treatment, and improved health outcomes.Whether you volunteer with a team or begin on your own block, every conversation can make a difference.
