Join Us in Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Legacy of Service
"We must work unceasingly to lift this nation that we love to a higher destiny, to a new plateau of compassion, to a more noble expression of humanness." -- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
These powerful words echo the enduring vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who believed in the transformative power of unity, understanding, and collective action. In the spirit of his dream, we invite you to participate in something meaningful in Northeast Florida, from Friday, Jan. 17 through Monday, Jan. 20. United Way of Northeast Florida, in collaboration with AmeriCorps and numerous nonprofit partners, is proud to present MLK Weekend of Service. Together, we'll address fundamental issues including basic needs, community resiliency and financial well-being.
Dr. King's dream was not just about lofty ideals; it was about tangible, positive change rooted in shared responsibility. Through service projects that directly impact lives and community events, this is a chance to contribute to building a stronger, more united community.
