VISION The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is a vital community partner that reaches out to diverse audiences through outstanding artistic offerings, dynamic learning experiences, and opportunities to participate in the beauty of the natural world. ART The Cummer Museum holds one of the finest art collections in the Southeast, with more than 5,000 objects in its Permanent Collection. The Museum offers world-class art spanning from 2100 B.C. through the 21st century, features diverse special exhibits, and is home to the Wark Collection of Early Meissen Porcelain. GARDENS The Museum’s 2.5 acres of historic gardens are unique examples of early 20th century garden design, featuring reflecting pools, fountains, arbors, antique ornaments, and sculptures. The majestic Cummer Oak has a canopy of more than 150 feet and is one of the oldest trees in Jacksonville. EDUCATION Art Connections, the Museum’s nationally recognized interactive education center, enhances the cultural learning of visitors of all ages by offering educational programs and interactive opportunities, both in and out of the Museum, allowing visitors to gain a better understanding of works in the Collection.

EVENTS The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens offers a variety of programs and events to inspire a love of art, nature, and culture. Art fans of all ages will find inspiration through the programs offered at the Museum. Classes such as “Art for Tots," “Art for Two,” and “Art Adventures” introduce children to the world of visual expression, while courses like “Art Fundamentals” and “History of Western Art” provide learning opportunities at the adult level. Concerts in the historic gardens, lectures, and exhibition-related events round out the Museum’s programming calendar.
