Who We Are

The ScienceSIS Foundation is a nonprofit based in Jacksonville, Florida, committed to sparking curiosity and confidence in girls through STEM. Founded by software engineer and girl mom and advocate Erica Willie, our organization runs monthly STEM meetups, Women in STEM panels, the ScienceSIS Fellowship Program, and our flagship event, Galaxy Fest. We believe representation matters, and we work to ensure girls especially those from historically excluded communities see themselves as future scientists, engineers, coders, and creators. Our programs combine creativity, real-world science, storytelling, and mentorship to build a generation of confident, STEM-literate young leaders. We’re powered entirely by volunteers and fueled by our belief that science is for everyone.

What We Do

The ScienceSIS Foundation empowers girls especially those underrepresented in STEM through hands-on science events, mentorship meetups, and community-based learning. From monthly STEM pop-ups to our annual Galaxy Fest, we create joyful, confidence-building experiences that make STEM accessible, fun, and local.
