I hope this message finds you well. My name is Morgan Nichols, and I am the Manager for the Arc Village Jacksonville's Xplore Program. Xplore is a day program that provides individuals 18+ with IDD new opportunities for social, life, and personal wellness growth through access to the larger community and hands-on enrichment experiences based on inclusivity, equity, and engagement. Our program runs in 12-week intervals, with different classes each day of the week from 1 PM to 4 PM. Some of the classes include volunteerism at the zoo/food pantry, learning new skills through cooking/art, going to YMCA for fitness, etc. The class sizes range from 7-10 people, depending on the availability of the volunteer site and the number of people who sign up for the particular class. Our individuals have a variety of skills and abilities that we could put to use. I believe that a partnership between our organizations could be mutually beneficial. Our next session begins April 15th and we would love to be able to come and volunteer. Specifically, we have availability for Thursday and Friday afternoons 1 PM to 4 PM to volunteer if either of those work. We also have Thursday morning 9 AM - 12 PM available as well. I was hoping we might be able to establish a relationship to partner for future classes. Please let me know if you are open to discussing further and learning more about the program.
